Independent Variable: Yeast

Dependent Variable: Height of bread rise

Controlled Variable: pan, heat, place, and person (me)

Hypothesis:

I think two packets of yeast will make he bread rise the most.

Materials list:

  1. salt

  2. Pan

  4. Bread mix

  6. Bowl

  7. Spoon

  9. butter

  10. white sugar

  11. bread flour

Detailed Procedure:

  1. Go home and turn on the oven (350 degrees)

  2. Get all my materials

  3. Mix them together

  4. Put peaces into different bowls and add different amounts of yeast in

  5. Let it rise and see how much it rises

  6. Cook it and see how much it rise when cooked

  7. Repeat 1-6 (don’t for get to write your data down)

I am going to conduct my experiment at my house. Also I will be only one conducting the experiment. I am going to have 2 trails to make a reliable conclusion. As I conduct my experiment I will be getting all of the data and with that data it will go right on to a spread sheet. I will put it on a spread sheet as I am measuring the bread rise.
